The Comet Project is a MUPS sponsored, student-run ensemble that presents several short, nonfiction, student-written plays in one hour-long showcase: “A Wacky Walk Down the Driveway." 

The Comet Project is based in honesty and truth –  Ensemble members may not pretend to be anyone other than themselves or try to convince the audience that they are anywhere other than on stage at that moment. In other words, there are no characters! Ensemble members are always presenting as themselves. If you hear us say something on stage, you can believe that it's true.

Ensemble members write, block, direct, and perform thirty plays in each show - so the average runtime per play is roughly two minutes. The order of plays will be decided each night by the audience, so no showcase is ever the same. We keep a strict time limit on our showcase - If we go over an hour, we're done, no matter how many plays are left. Topics range from hilarious to heart-wrenching and are always honest. We guarantee you will love every minute!
